Stormy Norman
Sorry that I have deprived you a few days. I have literally worked myself to death the past few days. I worked a double shift Friday. Which actually turned out to be fruitful, then a decent Saturday night too. Sunday, however, ended up being just awful. A slow morning paired with an even slower night ended up being less than minimum wage per hour :( I hateeeeee days like that. I leave work feeling like I have just worked for nothing, and my body still hurts :( The only upside was that we had a good closing crew and we were walking out the door at 10:05.
Being a server is hard work. I guess the overall is fairly simple. Take orders. Deliver food and drinks. But the toll it takes on your body is WHOA. My feet hurt all day everyday, even the days I dont work. My hips hurt. My knees and my legs in general feel like they belong to a 70 year old. And appearance is everthing. You look like doody and have a sour attitude and you may not take home enough money that night. It's a lot more difficult than it seems. I enjoy serving sometimes and I like most of the people I work with so for now I guess I'll put up and shut up lol.
Today I'm telling 3 films.... This may actually be slightly difficult b/c I really am not that big a movie go-er.
Number one: When Harry Met Sally. Classic. I love the quirky humor. And of course the classic diner scene. "I'll have what she's having!"
Number two: Diary of a mad Black Woman. This movie makes me cry and I keep crying after the movie. It's weird how a movie can make you feel someones pain and strife. Even thought you know its all an act. It hits home.
Number three: The Twilight Series. Looking back the first movie is my least favorite. How were they to know the movies would be such a hit? The differences in the first and second just based on budget alone is a big diffence and you can definitely tell lol. Still love them though! Can't wait for the last film!
Ok I gotta get off here and turn the computer off, its stormy norman out there!
